SURVEILLANCE REPORTS

Public health surveillance is the ongoing, systematic collection, analysis, and interpretation of data on specific health events.  It is used to plan, implement and evaluate public health programmes.

The data comes from doctors reporting notifiable diseases to the local Medical Officer of Health.  Influenza data is monitored from May to October every year.
